The junior national team with three Miners in the squad won their qualification group
Ukraine U17 confidently finished their stage of the elite qualification round, winning all three matches. Yurii Moroz's side successively beat Greece U17 (2-0), Switzerland U17 (3-0) and Slovakia U17 (3-0) and, taking the first spot in the group with an absolute score, won a direct berth to the 2024 European U17 Championship.
Defenders Mykyta Sheleketa and Yehor Dankovskyi with midfielder Yevhenii Harmash represented Shakhtar in Ukraine U17. All in all, Sheleketa played all three matches without substitutions, Dankovskyi appeared in the starting line-up for the decisive game against the Slovaks and also played a full match, and Harmash, appearing as a substitute in the second half, took part in the meetings with the Greeks and the Swiss.
The 2024 European U17 Championship will be held from May 20 to June 5 in Cyprus with the participation of 16 national teams. The draw for the final tournament will take place on April 3.
