The Ukrainians successfully passed the final stage and qualified for the European Championship
Ukraine U19 headed by Dmytro Mykhailenko won all 3 matches in the Euro 2024 elite round and took the 1st spot in their group. The Blue-and-Yellows started the tournament by defeating their hosts North Macedonia U19 (2-0), they hammered Latvia U19 (3-0) in the second match and defeated Switzerland U19 (3-0) in the same confident fashion in the final round.
There were 4 Shakhtar representatives in Ukraine U19 squad. The defender of the youth team of the Miners Mykola Oharkov played without substitutions in the matches against North Macedonia and Switzerland, another defender Anton Drozd played 90 minutes in the matches against the Macedonians and Latvians, midfielder Viktor Tsukanov subbed in 3 final games of the group stage, with goalkeeper Vladyslav Kravets being the national team's reserve goalkeeper at the tournament.
It should be noted that the European U19 Championship will be held from July 15 to July 28, 2024 in Northern Ireland and will be a UEFA qualification for the World Cup 2025 (U20).
