DUFL: Shakhtar teams are in the 1/16 play-offs

Shakhtar Academy teams have finished the group stage of the Ukrainian Youth Football League and will compete for the right to play in the final tournament in the play-off matches
On May 11, the final round of the Ukrainian Youth Football League group stage took place. The best 4 teams from 4 groups in the age categories from U14 to U17 will play in the play-offs according to the regulations.
All Shakhtar Academy teams successfully passed the group stage and will now compete for the right to qualify for the final part of the competition at the play-off phase. The Orange-and-Blacks must pass 3 stages: the winner of the 1/16 play-offs will be determined by the results of one game, while the winners of the 1/8 and 1/4 games will be decided in two-match showdowns.
Shakhtar U14
The team under the leadership of Dmytro Yefimov finished the DUFLU group stage in the 1st spot of the tournament table with 40 points, having an advantage over the nearest opponents of 5 points. It is interesting that the Pitmen did not lose a single time in 14 matches and demonstrated a high performance (63 goals) and a reliable defence (only 2 conceded goals), so the top three scorers include two Shakhtar U14 footballers – Illia Zaruba (15 goals in 11 matches) and Kyrylo Rotar (11 goals in 14 matches).

The Orange-and-Blacks remained undefeated and only tied with Kolos Kovalivka (2-2) at the end of the stage. It should be noted that in the spring part of the season, Yaroslav Mylokost, Nikita Kaliuzhnyi, Oleksandr Balakai and Artem Zubrii were called up by Ukraine U16 for the UEFA Development Tournament.

According to the regulations, the best 4 teams from each age group who have passed 3 stages of play-off matches will play at this phase. Then, the teams will compete in a round-robin system within a single stage, based on the results of which the prize places will be determined.
