Rinat Akhmetov personally congratulated the club directors and the head coach of the team on the golden double of the season
FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov met with the club’s CEO Serhii Palkin, Sporting Director Darijo Srna, head coach of the team Marino Pusic and his assistant Mario Stanic. They talked about the results of the 2023/24 season, in which the team won the championship title and the Ukrainian Cup.
Rinat Akhmetov congratulated Marino Pusic and the team on the golden double and emphasised a significant contribution of each player, head coach and his coaching staff, as well as the management and all the employees of the club to Shakhtar’s victories and achievements this season.
The president also expressed his belief that the club has the new trophies and achievements in the European arena ahead: “I am absolutely sure that most important victories of Shakhtar are ahead. And we will do our best to ensure that our club is adequately represented in Europe. That our fans get even more positive emotions from the spectacular, beautiful, attacking game of Shakhtar. Because our fans deserve it. Many of them now courageously defend every metre of our Ukrainian land. Thanks to them, we can play football and celebrate our victories.”
The top managers of the club and the team’s coaches, in turn, handed over the gold medals of the UPL champion and the winner of the Ukrainian Cup to the president of FC Shakhtar. Also, Rinat Akhmetov, Serhii Palkin, Darijo Srna, Marino Pusic and Mario Stanic took a group photo with the trophies won by Shakhtar in the 2023/24 season.
