On May 22, the Sports Emmy Awards ceremony took place in New York

The four-episode film Football Must Go On from Paramount+ telling the story of Shakhtar's performances in the Champions League during the full-scale war in Ukraine won in the Documentary Series category.

The movie about Shakhtar beat the other four nominees: series about racing Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Netflix), series about baseball Hard Knocks (HBO), reality wrestling show Monster Factory (Apple TV), and American football series Quarterback (Netflix).

Serhii Palkin, FC Shakhtar CEO:

– I am happy and sad at the same time about this. I am happy because this is our victory where we competed with such giants as Formula 1: Drive to Survive, Quarterback. So I congratulate all our supporters and fans on this victory! I am grateful to CBS, Peter Radovich, Alex Gale and Volodymyr Mula and the entire creative team that worked on the series. I am sad because this is a film about the terrible days of war, about pain, tears, suffering. But in any case, it is a victory. Our victory, the victory of all Ukraine. Because the world must know about the war and we will use every opportunity to gain world support in the fight against the aggressor. And I believe that each of us should strive to win in what we do and the desired big victory will come through such small successes. I believe in it. Football Must Go On! Glory to Ukraine!

Ukrainian viewers can watch the Football Must Go On series right now on the Paramount+ platform.
