Shakhtar women’s team played against Kryvbas in the away match of the 10th round of the Vyshcha League second stage
Head coach of Shakhtar women’s team Roman Zaiev chose 3–5–2 tactical scheme and the following starting line-up for the final match of the season against Kryvbas: Klimova played in the goal, Kravchuk, Zaborovets and Krevska acted in the defence, Yanieva, Starukhina, Zavidova, Maslovska and Mostova formed the half-back line, Vykaliuk and Chendei played at the helm.
Wide-open game
In the beginning, the opponents did not force events and fought each other in every part of the field. However, the host team were the first to create a goal-scoring opportunity. Kozishkurt shot into the far corner from a tight angle, Klimova saved, Kolodii was the first to pursue rebounds, beat Krevska and hit the post. Kryvbas responded with their own moment after the corner kick, when Daiana Semkiv won in the air and headed the ball dangerously – over the crossbar. At the end of the half, the Miners developed a promising fast attack on the left wing with a subsequent cross to the goalmouth, but there was no final shot.
Last half of the season
The second half started with a positional struggle and is memorable for dangerous attack of Kozishkurt, who approached Klimova and shot near the post. Kryvbas gradually seized the initiative, and in the 68th minute Kozishkurt threatened the goal again – Klimova turned it for a corner not without problems. After the set-piece in the penalty area, Kozishkurt fell due to light contact with Zavidova, and the referee awarded a spot-kick, which Klimutina coolly converted. The host team continued to attack, press high and doubled the advantage: Tian took advantage of Krevska’s turnover, went to meet the goalkeeper and hit the post, Violeta quickly reacted to the deflection and hit the target at the second attempt. After that, the air raid alert was announced again, the players went to the shelter. Upon returning to the field, the Orange-and-Blacks began to try to reduce the gap: Starukhina led Vykaliuk into a shooting position with a splitting pass, but Mariia lacked accuracy. The final minutes passed with the territorial advantage of the Miners, but the score remained unchanged.
