The results of the traditional social media poll
Midfielder Heorhii Sudakov became Shakhtar Player of the Month for May following the results of an opinion poll conducted on the club’s official social media pages: the winner amassed 5,008 votes (48%). The second spot was taken by Brazilian midfielder Marlon Gomes (3,165), with forward Danylo Sikan (1,362) and defender Yukhym Konoplia (804) being next in the rating. All in all, 10,339 fans participated in the voting.
Heorhii Sudakov made 3 appearances (264 minutes, 2 goals, 3 assists) for the team in the UPL in May. In particular, the midfielder provided 3 assists in the away game against Chornomorets (4-1), scored a goal in the home meeting with the Odesa-based side (3-0) and a winning goal in the Ukrainian Clasico against Dynamo (1-0), when Shakhtar secured the league title.
We remind that the winners of the monthly votes become contenders for the Player of the Year title.
