Shakhtar women’s team are preparing for the clash with Ladomyr
On Tuesday, May 7, Shakhtar women’s team held a pre-match training session at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve.
The morning session began with an intensive warm-up in playing format. The outfield players then proceeded to ball control exercises in squares with neutral players, while the goalkeepers worked on actions in goal and reactions. In general, the training lasted about an hour and ended with set play practice and a series of shots.

– The training process ahead of the match against Ladomyr was less difficult, without heavy loads. We worked on finishing and shooting.
– You missed the first game of the spring season against Ladomyr. What do you expect from this match and how important is it in view of the tournament situation?
– Yes, I missed it due to exceeding the yellow-card limit. It was difficult to watch the match from the stands without being able to help. I expect a tough and at the same time interesting match because Ladomyr are a young and ambitious team with their own style. The game is very important as we are sitting side by side in the table.
– Shakhtar have a busy schedule. Has the training process changed?
– The training process has changed a little. There is less speed and strength work, we focus on finishing and tactical elements of the game. It is clear that a tight schedule is an additional burden on the team, but I believe that it will be beneficial in the future.
