Shakhtar women’s team hosted Metalist 1925 at home
The round 10 game should have taken place a week ago, but it was postponed due to a long air raid alert in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. On November 6, Roman Zaiev’s team played a fixture against Obolon, and already in 3 days they hosted one of the league leaders.
Squad rotation
The coaching staff of the Orange-and-Blacks applied significant squad rotation and made 6 substitutions at once. Henyk, Sikorska, Myronenko, Starukhina and Mostova replaced Veherych, Holovach, Maslovska, Zaborovets, Lutsan and Shevtsova.
The visiting team started the game more actively, controlled the ball more and threatened the goal more often. Zaiev’s players relied on counterattacks based on the speed of Vykaliuk, who acted as a forward. In the 15th minute, Metalist 1925 converted a set piece.
