– Danylo, congratulations on the victory and your return to the team and to the field! What are your emotions and how difficult was the path to recovery?
– Thank you very much! The path was not easy, because I was off the track. The injuries are always unpleasant for a football player, you especially do not want to leave the team with such a calendar and skip even a day or two, and I skipped much more. But I worked every day to come back stronger.
– How do you feel right now and is there something that bothers you?
– Nothing bothers me, thank God. I keep on working and hope that everything will be fine.
– You have such a special bright new image. Did you adapt to a special mask?
– Of course not. It is a little difficult, because it is strange to play with a mask on your face, it obstructs your view and makes it hard to focus a bit. But I need to get used to it.
– What do the doctor say about how long you need to wear this mask?
– Not long, maybe it was my last game in the mask. I do not know exactly yet, but I was told that the game against Kolos is probably the last one with the mask.
– Did the team say something about your new image, perhaps, some jokes?
– I heard about Zorro from coaches, someone said Flash because of the lightning on the mask, or Superman. These are the jokes.
– Let’s talk about the match against Kolos. What was the game like for Shakhtar?
– A very tough match. We know that away games against Kolos are difficult. But we won an important victory, and we need to get the most out of every game, because we lost many points.
– You said that it is difficult to play against Kolos away. Why?
– They defend very well and concede few goals during the season. We understand that they do not let opponents play and play simply themselves. It is difficult to act against such teams, because they all defend together and all attack together, it is a very good quality.
– The team have a difficult trip to Lviv ahead, and then the Miners will go to the Champions League match against Arsenal. What are your anticipations and what do you expect from this showdown?
– I hope we expect only positivity. It is a very important game, and we will represent not only Shakhtar in the Champions League, but also the entire country. We really want to get a positive result from this game, and we understand that Arsenal is one of the best teams in the world right now.
