Shakhtar midfielder Eguinaldo shared his impressions after the game against Bologna
– Eguinaldo, Shakhtar started their journey in the Champions League. How can you rate the start of the team?
– I think we managed to start quite well in the Champions League, we showed a high level of play. Although we could not win, I can guarantee that the team fought for the result on the field until the end.
– Bologna does not have the same European Cup experience as Shakhtar does. Did you feel it on the field?
– Each team participating in the Champions League is the top-level team, and Bologna confirmed it. Therefore, I think that they lacked experience in the approach to our meeting.

– Actually, such moments happen, and Sudakov is an incredible performer. He was a little unlucky, maybe due to the weather conditions. Of course, it is unfortunate not to convert such opportunities, but I can assure you that it did not affect the further performance of the team.
– There were very unfavourable weather conditions related to a heavy rain in Bologna. Did these circumstances affect the course of the game?
– Of course! You could feel it immediately because the field was not as prepared for the game as, for example, under normal conditions, the ball bounced somewhat differently. However, both teams played under the same circumstances. It was difficult, but this factor had no significant impact on the match.
– How happy are you that the Champions League is back for Shakhtar?
– We are all extremely happy because the Champions League is a top-quality competition, and it is a great honour for us to be part of the best teams in Europe and play at such a high level.
