FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov celebrates his birthday on September 21. He turned 58
Remaining ambitious and striving for the highest goals despite the toughest circumstances, overcoming challenges and emerging stronger in the process, these traits are shared by Shakhtar and its president. During this time, Shakhtar became champions of Ukraine 15 times, claimed 13 domestic cups and 9 Ukrainian Super Cups, as well as won the UEFA Cup. The team are permanent participants in the most prestigious club tournament in Europe, the Champions League. FC Shakhtar has earned a name and impeccable reputation in the sports world through its performances on the football field and active social activities off it.
The president has repeatedly emphasized that two titles won after the start of the full-scale war became special for him. But the most valuable will be the gold medals that Shakhtar will celebrate with fans after the victory of Ukraine and the return of a just peace to the Ukrainian land.
