The Shakhtar Social foundation in cooperation with the general partner of the Come On, Let’s Play! project DTEK opened a new sports ground in Mykulychyn (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast).
Inna Khmyzova, Director of Shakhtar Social CO:
– The Come On, Let's Play! social initiative is primarily aimed at the development of children’s grassroots football in Ukraine and popularization of a healthy lifestyle. By opening new playgrounds, we strive to provide children with the joyful emotions that sport gives. I hope this playground will become a place where they can fulfil their dreams.
Director of DTEK Burshtyn TPP Vadym Simakov, Mayor of Yaremche Andrii Myroniak and representatives of the local government attended the ceremonial training session dedicated to the launch of the project.
Andrii Myroniak, Mayor of Yaremche:
– The Come On, Let's Play! programme is aimed at the development of children, football and the formation of a healthy nation. In our community, sports are of great importance, and the Shakhtar Social programme is very appropriate because children are the future of the country. The new playground will help them do their favourite thing.
The guests prepared gifts for the children that will be needed during training, took photos and videos, and congratulated those present on the launch of the project in the Yaremche region.
Vadym Simakov, Director of DTEK Burshtyn TPP:
– Opening of Come On, Let's Play! pitch is a very pleasant event. There are many children in the community, and they now have more opportunities for development and sports. It is important to support each other in such a difficult time, so we have prepared gifts for the children. I hope that the future star will practise on this playground.
In general, the Come On, Let's Play! project is being implemented in 37 Ukrainian cities with 40 operating pitches. Around 2,000 children participate in the training sessions.
The general partner of the project is DTEK.
