Shakhtar forward Lassina Traore reflects on the win over Obolon and his first goal in the season
– Congratulations, Lassina! The team played an impressive match. What are your thoughts on the encounter?
– I’m very happy, thank you! We were able to win this match after the Champions League. We started very slowly but picked up the pace and began to push forward in the second half. We are satisfied with the victory.
– You scored your first goal this season. Could you recall this episode?
– I’m really happy! I appeared in the starting line-up and tried to help the team. In the end I managed to score. We are happy with the four goals scored, I hope we can continue like this.
– Who do you dedicate this goal to?
– To Sikan, because I played in his position, for which we constantly compete. Unfortunately, he was injured, so I replaced him. I dedicate this goal to him and wish him a speedy recovery and return.
– What did Marino Pusic say to you in the dressing room? It was quite loud in there.
– Of course, he didn't like the first half, just like us. He shouted a little, so we came out after the break and started to press. In the end, everyone was happy, that was the main goal.
– What can you say about Shakhtar's last games in the UPL and the Champions League?
– We are improving. The beginning of the season was slow, but now we’re pushing forward, scoring a lot and building our confidence. Today we kept a clean sheet, we hope to continue like this.
