Marlon Gomes visited the children involved in the Come On, Let’s Play! project in Bilohorodka (Kyiv Oblast)
Shakhtar midfielder Marlon Gomes attended a training session for participants of the Come On, Let's Play! social project in Bilohorodka, making it a special day for the children. They had the opportunity not only to chat and train with the footballer, but also to play football with him. After the session, Marlon gave out souvenirs and signed autographs for everyone who asked.
We need more such meetings to share our experience and inspire future generations
Marlon Gomes, Shakhtar midfielder:
– First of all, I want to say that it is a great honour for me to participate in such an initiative for children. I’m sincerely grateful to both the organizers and the children for the warm welcome and incredible hospitality. When I was a child, I didn’t have the opportunity to interact with professional footballers, so I consider projects like this extremely important for children’s development. We need more such meetings to share our experience and inspire future generations.
The project in Bilohorodka has been running for six months, with its official opening taking place in autumn 2024. Currently, the Come On, Let’s Play! project covers 22 Ukrainian localities, with 22 pitches in operation. More than 1,000 children from 7 to 12 years old participate in the training sessions.

Kyrylo Kozubivskyi, Come On, Let's Play! participant:
– I’m very happy to meet Marlon Gomes because I have been a Shakhtar fan for two years and had the opportunity to talk to a professional footballer. It was very interesting: we even played football with him and we received gifts at the end. I truly enjoyed it all!
