On April 4, 2025, at least 20 civilians, including 9 children, lost their lives as a result of Russian shelling
On April 16, Shakhtar players, coaching staff and the club’s management visited the site of this devastating tragedy immediately after the match vs Kryvbas to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack. The team laid flowers at the memorial and observed a minute of silence in honour of those who lost their lives.
As a reminder, on April 4, Russians struck a residential area in Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile, resulting in 20 fatalities, including 9 children. Over 70 people were injured.
