Shakhtar goalkeeper Kiril Fesiun visited the Shakhtar ProSchool training session in Shchaslyve
On Monday, April 14, Shakhtar goalkeeper Kiril Fesiun held a joint training session with the Shakhtar ProSchool students in Shchaslyve.
At the start of the session, the goalkeeper joined the children for a running warm-up and physical drills to prepare their muscles for further activity. Afterwards, he played football with the students, giving everyone a chance to take a shot on the professional keeper. At the end, everyone interested could take a photo with Kirill Fesiun and receive a commemorative card featuring the player and his autograph.

– The event took place in a very positive atmosphere as it was a new challenge for me – conducting a training session with children, which brought out a lot of emotions. In fact, such initiatives are wonderful because in my childhood I didn’t have the opportunity to see or talk to a professional footballer. The fact that children now have such an opportunity is incredible. During the session, some participants pleasantly surprised me – they have excellent ball control skills for their age! I think it is very important for children to play football, get positive emotions and real pleasure from the game.

– I experienced very vivid emotions, I really liked playing next to a professional footballer! I followed Kirill's matches and dreamed of meeting him and getting a jersey signed. I was also very happy when I found out that he would visit our training session.
FC Shakhtar’s project in the format of the Shakhtar ProSchool franchise in Shchaslyve started at the end of December 2024. Today, about 75 boys and girls are actively training here. The club is not only expanding its network of schools throughout Ukraine, but also opening new football pitches in Europe.

– Everyone understands how busy the schedules of professional footballers are, and, of course, we want to have as many such meetings as possible. It gives children the opportunity not only to see, but also to play on the same field with their idol. This is one of our priorities, and we will continue to work to ensure that children have more opportunities to communicate with professional players. Such meetings are a powerful motivation for young athletes and show that with hard work, nothing is impossible.
Shakhtar ProSchool sessions are held according to the unique methodology and under the guidance of coaches from the Shakhtar Academy. Students receive priority during the Academy trials and have the opportunity to take part in the club’s professional football events – from accompanying the players to serving as ball boys during matches.
The first session is free. All interested boys and girls can register for training, regardless of their prior level of preparation.
