The Come On, Let’s Play! football tournament took place in Demianiv
The Come On, Let’s Play! spring football tournament was held in Demianiv (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast), with more than 20 boys and girls participating. Such competitions have already become a good tradition of the project and take place twice a year – in spring and autumn. They encourage children to play sports, particularly football, while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
This year's football event in Demianiv gave children a lot of vivid emotions. Medals and branded gifts from the project partners Shakhtar Social and DTEK served as excellent motivation for young footballers to show their skills on the field.
Nadiia Semenovych, the Come On, Let's Play! project participant
– I have incredibly positive emotions as I always wanted to become a footballer, and today my dream came true! I feel immense joy and I’m sure that my dad, who is defending Ukraine, will be proud of me.
Among the parents of the Come On, Let’s Play! participants in Demianiv are soldiers from the Defence Forces of Ukraine, as well as workers from the energy and education sectors.
Currently, the project covers 22 Ukrainian localities, with 22 football pitches in operation. More than 1,000 children from 7 to 12 years old participate in the sessions.
The general partner is DTEK.
