Commentary of head coach of Oleksandriia Ruslan Rotan after the Cup match against Shakhtar
– A very emotional, competitive and real Cup match. It would probably have been fairer if the game had ended in a penalty shootout. I think that today we were better than Shakhtar throughout the match. The only thing we were lacking in was our focus, especially during set pieces. We made a very unfortunate, very childish mistake. Before each game, each player has a clear task during the set pieces, and, to be honest, I am very angry that we lacked this focus to win.
– Will the team have enough time to recover from the 120-minute match before the penultimate home game of the season against Kryvbas?
– We are professionals, we need to be them. We must rise again, recover, face the music and move forward. Go through physical and moral difficulties. But, if we compare our situation with that of the military at the front, it is a hundred times harder for them. We have no other choice, so we need to think about recovery over the next three days, and take the field on the fourth fully charged and focused on the game. We have a future opponent, with whom we are fighting for the European Cups.
