The Brazilian player becomes the first newcomer of the Miners this summer
19-year-old midfielder Lucas Ferreira moves to Shakhtar from São Paulo (Brazil). A contract with the player lasts until June 30, 2030.
Lucas dos Santos Ferreira began his football journey at the Americano youth school, from where he moved to the Flamengo Academy in 2017, and later to Boavista. In 2021, he joined São Paulo, signing his first professional contract with the club in March 2023. He won the Brazilian U20 Cup (2024) with the youth team. In January 2025, he also lifted the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior (Copinha) with the team, making 9 appearances in the tournament, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
He made his first-team debut for São Paulo against Botafogo on January 20, 2025. Overall, he has played 23 games at the professional level (5 in the Copa Libertadores, 13 in the Brazilian league, 2 in the Brazilian Cup and 3 in the Campeonato Paulista), registering 1 goal and 1 assist.
