An emotional and intense game

– First of all, I want to emphasise that today’s game was truly very emotional and intense. Looking back a bit, I should note that we had a great encounter in the Europa League qualifiers against Panathinaikos; however, unfortunately, we were unable to secure a positive result in terms of advancing to the next round. We can also add the Ukrainian Premier League match against Karpaty, where we conceded in the final minutes. At times like these, you can experience an internal conflict regarding the system you try to follow, and sometimes even a certain doubt in it. That’s why today’s victory is very important, it reminds us that we are on the right path. Behind us are 120 minutes of the encounter and a penalty shootout against Panathinaikos, as well as a challenging return home, but I can sincerely say that I’m proud of my players and how they performed overall, both over the long run and in today’s match specifically. We are constantly looking for our solutions, especially against a defence with five defenders: this is also important in terms of how our wingers operate – finding open spaces. Overall, I’m simply pleased with how the match went and how we managed to adapt to these solutions. I also want to take this opportunity to thank the team for their effort and dedication.

– Konoplia, Alisson… Is there any news about them? And the same about Kevin. Should we expect him for Thursday’s match? (Futbol Ukrainy)
– Alisson suffered a minor injury following a collision, so we replaced him urgently to avoid aggravating it. Konoplia also felt slight discomfort in his adductor, so, of course, we substituted him to prevent any injury. We’ll conduct examinations and as soon as we have information, we’ll publish it. As for Kevin, he will start training with us tomorrow, but right now our main focus is his gradual reintegration and return to training, ensuring we do no harm to him or the team. So I’m glad the team are getting back to a full-strength squad, and I believe we are on the right path to restoring our full personnel potential.
