The promising Brazilian forward becomes a player of the Orange-and-Blacks
18-year-old striker Luca Meirelles moves to Shakhtar from Brazilian side Santos. He signed a five-year contract with the club.
Luca Meirelles is a graduate of the Santos Academy, where he played for the youth teams from 2018. He made 25 appearances for Santos U20 (14 goals, 1 assists). In June 2023, Luca signed his first professional contract with the club, making his debut for the senior team in a Série B match against Regatas Brasil on November 17, 2024. In total, the forward played 17 games for Santos’ first-team squad (7 in the Brazilian Série A, 2 in Série B, 1 in the Brazilian Cup and 7 in the Campeonato Paulista). He is a Brazilian Série B champion (2024). In August 2025, he was called up to Brazil U20.
