Shakhtar’s training session: the team are preparing to kick off the UPL season

Tomorrow, the Miners will play their first match of the 2025/26 Ukrainian Premier League season
Shakhtar players continue preparations for their UPL matchday 1 fixture against Epicentr, which will take place this Sunday in Ternopil. After the win over Beşiktaş in Kraków, Arda Turan’s side returned to Ukraine and held two training sessions in Lviv.
Today, August 2, the Orange-and-Blacks had a theoretical session at midday, reviewing their own performance and analysing their upcoming opponents. The team then moved to the pitch for a practical session, which included a warm-up, possession drills, tactical exercises and shooting practice.

In the evening, the Miners travelled by bus from Lviv to Ternopil for the upcoming match. The UPL round 1 match between Epicentr and Shakhtar will take place at the Roman Shukhevych Ternopil City Stadium on Sunday, August 3. Kickoff is at 15:30.
