The Ukrainian talent will continue his career with the Portuguese runners-up
22-year-old midfielder Heorhii Sudakov moves from Shakhtar to Lisbon-based Benfica The clubs have agreed on the final details of the transfer and the player has signed a personal contract with the Portuguese giant.
We remind that Heorhii Sudakov joined the Shakhtar Academy in 2017 and made his first-team debut in 2020 in a Champions League match against Real Madrid, quickly establishing himself as a regular starter. In total, he made 148 appearances for Shakhtar, scoring 35 goals and providing 26 assists. Sudakov won five trophies together with Shakhtar: he became the champions of Ukraine twice (2023, 2024), won the Ukrainian Cup twice (2024, 2025) and claimed the Ukrainian Super Cup (2021). He was individually recognised as the best player of the 2023/24 UPL season and Shakhtar Player of the Year 2023.
