It is a great honour and pride for our club to bear the name Shakhtar Donetsk. Miners are the symbol of the Ukrainian Donbas, strong and courageous people who perform their feat every day to ensure our homes always have light and warmth. That is why the hard and dangerous miners’ work has always been respected. Donetsk is the capital of the mining region, the city where our club was born and where bright pages of its history were written. Here lies our origin, here is our home Donbas Arena, here are our loyal supporters.
