Shakhtar found out their possible opponents for the European play-off round

On August 4, the draw for the decisive qualifying stages of European competitions took place at the House of European Football in Nyon (Switzerland)
Shakhtar may face Samsunspor (Türkiye) in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. The matches of this stage will be played on August 21 and 28, with the Miners hosting the first leg. The winners of this tie will advance to the UEFA Europa League league phase.
As a reminder, Shakhtar must first overcome the third qualifying round, where they will face Panathinaikos, to reach the play-off round. The team that lose the clash between the Ukrainian and Greek giants will drop into the UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs, where they may face the loser of the Servette (Switzerland) vs Utrecht (Netherlands) tie.
