Shakhtar U19 to compete in Mladen Ramljak 2025

The youth team of the Miners went to Croatia for a major international tournament held in memory of Mladen Ramljak to be held from August 7 to 10.

According to the regulations, the 8 participating teams are divided into 2 groups, which will play in a single round-robin format. This will be followed by placement matches according to the standings after the first stage. Shakhtar U19 got into Group A, where they will face Benfica U19, PSG U19 and Bologna U19.

– The expectations are, of course, pleasant, as it is not often that you get the chance to meet the academies of such clubs as PSG, Benfica, Juventus or Manchester United. It will be very interesting to play against them. First and foremost, we want to test our strength against Europe’s leading academies and enjoy the matches with such opponents. We must not be afraid but, on the contrary, show our level and our own style of play, understanding that even in matches against such teams we can dominate in certain moments. Obviously, every professional who steps onto the pitch aims to win – otherwise there is no point in playing. But, I repeat, the most important thing is to gain invaluable experience that will help us progress both as a team overall and our young players individually.

It should be noted that the round 2 fixture of the U19 Championship between Karpaty U19 and Shakhtar U19, which was to be played on August 9, has been rescheduled for August 21.
