The Miners continue playing amid a congested schedule
Having returned from Athens to Lviv only the day before after their UEFA Europa League match, Shakhtar players held their sole training session on Saturday, August 9, as part of their preparations for tomorrow’s UPL fixture against Karpaty.
Arda Turan’s side continue to adapt to an extremely intense schedule of games and travel, with little time for recovery or full preparation, yet training sessions go on. Today’s session at the Emily Resort complex had a distinctly pre-match focus, consisting of a warm-up, squares, a series of game-related drills and practising shots on goal and set pieces. The session lasted about an hour.

The UPL round 2 match between Karpaty and Shakhtar will take place at the Ukraina Stadium on Sunday, August 10. Kickoff is at 18:00.
