FC Shakhtar held an open training session attended by special guests
At the end of the year, FC Shakhtar traditionally holds festive events for children, inviting them to attend training sessions of the firs team and meet the players and coaches. This time, children – participants of the Come On, Let's Play! project (the project’s general partner is DTEK) – visited the base in Vynnyky. Their parents work at the Burshtyn and Dobrotvir TPPs, standing daily on the frontline of Ukraine’s energy sector.
During the event, the young guests experienced the atmosphere of professional football: they watched the team’s exercises, spoke with players and coaches, took group photos and collected autographs. The highlight of the visit was the presentation of festive gifts from FC Shakhtar, as well as LEGO sets from the club’s partner, L’Oréal Men Expert, bringing the children pre-New Year joy and excitement.

– It is always a pleasure to see children, their smiles and to give gifts and joy. I remember waiting for the holidays and presents under the Christmas tree myself as a child – those are very happy memories. It was clear that the children were thoroughly enjoying themselves, as everyone was cheerful and in high spirits. I want to wish them many smiles, always to dream of miracles, and, above all, peace for all of us.
Ivan, 11 years old:
– Fantastic emotions! This was my first open training session with professional footballers. I received gifts and autographs and took photos with the players. The experience was incredible, I really enjoyed everything! I want to wish Shakhtar to finish first in the UPL, win the Conference League, and then aim for the Champions League.
Events like this, organised by FC Shakhtar, are aimed at developing youth football and an active lifestyle, while giving young athletes vivid emotions and unforgettable experiences.
