Shakhtar hosted Epicentr in the UPL round 16 at the Arena Lviv
Shakhtar head coach Arda Turan selected the following line-up for the match: Fesiun was in goal, Matviienko and Bondar appeared at centre-back, Vinicius Tobias and Pedro Henrique operated as fullbacks, Marlon Gomes, Kryskiv and Ocheretko were in midfield, Newertton and Pedrinho started on the wings, with Kaua Elias leading the line as centre-forward.

The match began with Shakhtar on the attack, quickly opening the scoring. First, Pedro Henrique went down at the edge of the penalty area after contact with the opponent, but the referee waved the incident off. Shortly after, Cifuentes swiped at Vinicius Tobias in his own box, and this time, following a VAR review, a penalty was awarded. Pedrinho calmly converted it into the bottom right corner – 1-0. The second half also began with attacks from Arda Turan’s side. Kaua Elias skilfully beat a defender in the penalty area, but his shot was saved by Bilyk. After a corner, Matviienko tried to finish a delivery from the left flank, but again the goalkeeper came to the visitors’ rescue. In response, Fesiun kept his team in the game by saving a dangerous shot from Myroniuk at the edge of the goal box. In the 56th minute, the Pitmen scored their third goal. Kaua Elias did it all himself: he won the ball in midfield, dribbled past three opponents in the box and slotted it under the goalkeeper, making it 3-0. Immediately after, Pedrinho delivered a cross that Newertton met successfully, but the goal was ruled offside. Midway through the half, Shakhtar coaching staff made several substitutions, bringing on Eguinaldo, Isaque and Meirelles. The fresh players added new energy, and the final phase of the match remained firmly in the Miners’ control. In the 84th minute, a combination from Bondar, Ocheretko and Isaque was finished by Luca Meirelles, who scored from the near post – 4-0. Then, in the 89th minute, Meirelles struck again from outside the box, completing a quick brace.
