We are picking Shakhtar’s best goal in 2025
The quarter-final pairs have been announced following the first round of the pre-New Year Goal Battle project. It is these eight contenders who will continue the fight for victory.
Results of the first stage and quarter-final pairs
Bondarenko vs Nazaryna
Artem Bondarenko’s goal in the Conference League match against Breiðablik received 848 votes and beat Kaua Elias’s European goal (65). Meanwhile, an impressive free kick from Yehor Nazaryna earned 808 likes and defeated another Brazilian of the Miners, Eguinaldo (104).
Isaque vs Zavidova
Midfielder of the Orange-and-Blacks Isaque collected 466 likes with his spectacular shot into the top corner in the UPL match against Zorya and finished ahead of two rivals at once – the goals by Kevin (454) and Heorhii Sudakov (107). The first stage of the project was also won by Shakhtar women’s team player Yuliana Zavidova – her fantastic goal against Kolos amassed 848 likes and knocked Marlon Gomes (236) out of the tournament.
Newertton vs Dankovskyi
Brazilian winger of the Miners Newertton simply left Oleh Ocheretko (33) with no chance with an incredible goal in the match against Dynamo and the biggest margin at the first stage of the project (970). Shakhtar U19 player Yehor Dankovskyi also progressed to the quarter-finals, as his long-ranger in the youth championship match received 425 votes and proved more popular than Pedrinho’s technical finish (203).
Hlushchenko vs Pedro Henrique
The final quarter-final pair was formed by players from Shakhtar’s senior team. Anton Hlushchenko’s solo run and acrobatic strike in the match against Kudrivka collected 642 likes and knocked Luca Meirelles (196) out of the competition. And in the battle of Brazilian goals, Pedro Henrique’s effort against Aberdeen in the Conference League earned 586 votes, finishing ahead of Alisson (52).
