Newertton is the Goal Battle winner!

The fans picked the best goal by the Miners in 2025
Shakhtar held the traditional pre-New Year Goal Battle project where fans determined the most beautiful and the most important goal of the past year through voting. Sixteen contenders took part in the tournament: users selected the winners in head-to-head pairings each day on the club’s official Instagram page, and following the qualifying stages, the goals by Yehor Nazaryna and Newertton reached the final.
In the decisive poll, the stunningly beautiful and winning goal by Brazilian winger of the Orange-and-Blacks Newertton against Dynamo in the November Ukrainian Clasico received a total of 2,136 votes and edged out Yehor Nazaryna’s goal scored with a spectacular free kick in the match against LNZ (1,798 votes).
For Newertton, this is his first triumph in the Goal Battle project. Previously, the award was won by Viktor Kovalenko (2018), Taras Stepanenko (2019), Alan Patrick twice (2020, 2021), Mykhailo Mudryk (2022), Yaroslav Rakitskyi (2023), as well as Shakhtar U19 player Oleksandr Chornenkyi (2024).
