Shakhtar Stalevi celebrate their first anniversary
On February 5, 2024, the Shakhtar Stalevi team were formed, bringing together servicemen and civilians who suffered injuries and limb loss due to hostilities.
The goal of the Shakhtar Stalevi project is to provide amputees with the opportunity to return to an active life through sports, which plays a vital role in rehabilitation.

Such projects help amputees to physically rehabilitate, set new challenges for themselves and gradually move towards them

– Such projects help amputees to physically rehabilitate, set new challenges for themselves and gradually move towards them. The team's performances at the Winter Cup within the League of the Strong were most memorable, as we gained important experience and demonstrated a well-balanced play. In the future, we must patiently perform game tasks, as we strive to build conceptual football.
Shakhtar Stalevi players regularly trained at the Academy in Shchaslyve throughout the year. During this time, the plyers held 12 friendly matches and 104 training sessions. In early February, they participated in the first Ukrainian amputee football tournament as part of the League of the Strong project, gaining valuable experience at the competitive level. The scorer of the first goal in the team’s history was Ruslan Nedzelskyi.
