Shakhtar women's team begin preparations for the second part of the season

On Friday, January 10, the Miners finished their winter break and got back to work. Over the next two days, the players will undergo a scheduled medical examination to check their shape.

The team will prepare for the second part of the season at the Academy in Shchaslyve. The first training camp, focused on basic aerobic and strength work, will last until January 29. The sessions will be held in a two-phase mode: first, attention will be paid to endurance, and then to working with the ball.
We are actively preparing for training sessions and a gradual increase in the intensity of sessions. It is noticeable that all the girls returned with a good mood and willingness to work
Nataliia Chendei, forward:

– Today, the first subgroup underwent a routine medical examination for a general check of the overall health. We are actively preparing for training sessions and a gradual increase in the intensity of sessions. It is noticeable that all the girls returned with a good mood and willingness to work.

– Do you feel like you had time to rest after your break, and how do you assess your shape before training camp?
– I think I recovered well. The vacation was a great opportunity to recharge both physically and mentally. I feel fresh and motivated. In terms of physical fitness, I feel ready to start the camp, although there is still a lot of work ahead to reach the peak of my capabilities. In addition, we had a two-week camp before the New Year holidays, so it will be easier to get into a working rhythm now.

– What goals do you set for yourself for the second part of the season and what do you expect from the training camp?
– At the beginning of the season, I set myself the goal of helping the team as much as possible, and this goal remains unchanged. I understand that winter training camp is a key stage of preparation that lays the foundation for the second part of the season, so I expect a large and intensive amount of work.
