– Danylo, you just had your last meeting with the team as a Shakhtar player. What are you feeling now?
– Confusion and pain… Leaving such a friendly team. This team are a big part of my life, with whom I spent probably my best football years. I met friends and teammates here who were here and left as well, and now it is my turn. And it’s very tough, but this is football, this is a part of life that we go through. If you don’t take steps forward, it becomes very difficult – you remain where you are, you need to part with something and let go, so to speak, to grow and progress. – What will you miss the most?
– People. The people who have always supported me, those I’ve always connected with and with whom I felt comfortable spending my time.
– If you say it in just one word, what does Shakhtar mean to you?
– Family. A family I will miss for a very long time. It’s love at first sight, you could say. These are the people who are always there for me and who I can rely on.
– The fans are also an integral part of Shakhtar. I think many of them will miss you too. So, maybe you have something to say to them?
– Yes, of course, the fans are one of the most important aspects in football. And I want to sincerely thank them for all the support they gave me, for everything they said, suggested and criticized – it all made me stronger. Thank you very much!
– Do you believe that one day you will be able to put on Shakhtar jersey and play for the Miners?
– I would do it with joy, I will believe in it and hope.
