The Miners have started preparations for the new season
Shakhtar's summer training camp kicked off in Brdo, Slovenia, on June 20. Today, the team held their first training session under the guidance of new head coach Arda Turan and his staff.
The session began with an introductory speech by the head coach, in which Turan outlined the work plan for the coming weeks and noted that the team will get into the training rhythm day by day, gradually increasing the workload. After that, the debut training session of the Orange-and-Blacks began under the leadership of the Turkish specialist. The session lasted almost 2 hours and consisted of a warm-up, running work, practising short and medium passes, squares for ball holding, as well as tactical exercises.
Work will continue tomorrow, with two training sessions for the players – one in the afternoon and one in the evening. As a reminder, Shakhtar are preparing in Slovenia for the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round matches against Ilves which will take place in July.
