The training camp of the Orange-and-Blacks is approaching its halfway point
On June 28, Shakhtar players, who continue to get into shape and prepare for the new season in Slovenia, held two regular sessions.
The morning training session started with a warm-up and fitness exercises for all muscle groups, especially the abs, after which the team worked a little with the ball in unusual variations of squares. But the main workload was different: the coaching staff offered the players a lot of running work.
In the evening, the Miners focused exclusively on tactics. Arda Turan and his assistants worked on various aspects with the team: transitioning from defence, transition phase, coordination in midfield, pressing and counter-pressing, etc. As a reward for their hard and diligent work throughout the week, the players will have a day off on Sunday to recover.

As a reminder, Shakhtar are preparing in Slovenia for their debut pre-season friendlies against Gorica and Slovácko and the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round matches against Ilves. The home European competition game will take place on July 10, tickets are on sale now.
