Shakhtar Stalevi footballers joined the League of the Mighty team for the friendly match against Red Flamingos (Belgium)
Andrii Herasymchuk, Dmytro Mykhasiuk and Ruslan Nedzelskyi have been called up by the amputee football team of the League of the Mighty. They participated in the training camp in Cherkasy to prepare for the team's first-ever international friendly match against Belgian side Red Flamingos.
Andrii Herasymchuk, midfielder:
– A friendly match against Belgian side Red Flamingos is a great opportunity to test yourself at the international level. This match is special, as it will be the first in the history of the League of the Mighty team. I hope many more matches like this await us in the future. Representing Ukraine and Shakhtar Stalevi on the international stage is not only a great honour, but also a responsibility. I’m glad that amputee football in Ukraine is actively developing, and this game is another important step forward.
The Ukrainian amputee football national team, led by Bohdan Kulynych, will face Red Flamingos (Belgium) on the Jos Vaessen Talent Academy pitch in Genk this Saturday, March 22, at 16:00 Kyiv time. The live stream will be available on UAF’s YouTube channel.
