In the opening rounds of the second stage of the competition, the Odessa-based side lost to Metalist 1925 Kharkiv (1-3) and defeated Ladomyr Volodymyr (4-0).
Seasters were strengthened by experienced defender Iryna Vasyliuk, striker Jesusmar Colmenares and midfielder Nataliia Churikova during the pre-season.

Soon, the visitors doubled their advantage, again after the set piece: Boichenko crossed into the penalty area, where Ustinova failed to catch the ball on the first attempt, and after a series of bounces, Manziuk successfully finished. In the second half, the Miners were more active, trying their best to change the situation on the field, but Klimova's saves and reliable defence nullified their attempts. Instead, Seasters orchestrated a successful attack at the end of the half, which Streltsova finished with an accurate shot. As a result, the referee’s final whistle recorded a 3-0 win for Shakhtar U19.
