Shakhtar goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk assessed the winning match against Poltava (7-1)
– Shakhtar comfortably claimed three points in the match against Poltava. What’s the key to such a convincing win?
– The most important thing was our concentration before the game. The Mister told us to focus very seriously because you can’t drop points in matches like this, especially given the current circumstances.
– The Miners scored plenty of goals, but also conceded one. What happened there?
– I won’t say exactly now, but maybe we got a little carried away and conceded a counterattack that we could have prevented. But we scored seven, so I consider it a confident win, and now we move forward.
– Poltava is a club from your home region. Did you feel any real threat from the opponents on the pitch? What can you say about the level of this team?
– It’s a very ambitious club that is developing. It was recently established, so I wish them only progress. Yes, many of my friends play there and we chatted a little. So I wish the club from my hometown only growth and progress.
– Can it be said that Shakhtar showed true champion’s class?
– I think so, we outplayed SC Poltava with our class.
– And what would you say in general about the level of the UPL, given that we see both the giants and other teams dropping points?
– Right now, it’s probably one of the most competitive seasons in our league, so it’s very exciting not only for the players but also for the fans. If you look at the league table, it’s quite an interesting championship.
– After the match, you head off to the national team. What goals have you set for yourself during this period with Ukraine?
– Of course, the goals are maximum – we have to go and win. And after that, it’s up to God.
– What about the chances of the national team?
– The main thing is to believe and work hard. The football God sees everything.
