Presentation of the Pace for Health social project coordinated by Shakhtar Social within the Erasmus+ Sport programme took place at UNIT.City
The event featured speakers from Shakhtar Social and project partners from AEK Sports Club (Greece), Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and the Hope for Football NGO (Lithuania). The speakers shared the experience of their organisations and spoke about the role of each partner in the implementation of the initiative, which helps internally displaced children through football.
Pace for Health includes football training sessions for children aged 7–12 from different regions of Ukraine, the development of a training manual with practical recommendations for coaches, educators and community leaders on inclusive learning and psychosocial support, as well as the organisation of summer camps for internally displaced children in Italy and Greece.
Currently, more than 200 children are taking part in the training sessions, most of whom are internally displaced persons. The results of the tests will help shape a methodology that combines sports activities with support for children’s psycho-emotional well-being.
