Shakhtar footballers are preparing for the clash with Vorskla
Shakhtar women’s team are preparing for the match against the current Vyshcha League champions Vorskla. On Thursday, September 18, another training session took place at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve.
The session began with fun activation exercises, after which the players had a small-sided game focusing on tactical instructions, then worked on speed and overall endurance development. They finished with a shooting series.
Kateryna Kuksa, midfielder:
– During the training we focused on tactical exercises, movement work, technical and physical qualities, as well as practised shot accuracy. We continue our preparation for the match against Vorskla in a positive mood.
– You will face the reigning champions, Vorskla Poltava, in the next round. What do you know about the opponents and what kind of game do you expect?
– Vorskla are very strong and high-quality opponents, and matches against them are always interesting. Of course, we have followed the opponents and supported them on the international stage. We are looking forward to the encounter.
– You have recently joined Shakhtar and made your debut for the team. How was your adaptation?
– I think the adaptation went quickly, I managed to integrate into the team. The team have a great atmosphere now and many quality performers. I continue to work on my individual qualities.
