Shakhtar Social, together with the UEFA Foundation for Children, continue their support for children's football in Ukraine
As part of the joint project, the foundation delivered sets of sports equipment to 30 schools and training groups across the country, reaching over 1,800 children. The aid was directed primarily to de-occupied areas, frontline communities, small settlements, as well as places where children have the opportunity to train free of charge. The kits included balls, bibs, hurdles, cones, agility ladders, ball nets and other essential equipment for a full training process.
More than 200 applications from different regions of Ukraine were submitted for participation in the programme. Following the selection process, 30 institutions received equipment – places where football is not only a game but also an important space for children’s development, support and recovery in challenging circumstances. The photos published in the report were taken in Varva (Chernihiv Oblast), Kyrykivka (Sumy Oblast), Bilyky (Poltava Oblast), Bereznehuvate, Voievodske and Pervomaisk (Mykolaiv Oblast), as well as in Mochulyshche (Rivne Oblast).
