Shakhtar Stalevi kicked off the second round of the Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship
The Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship round 2 began in Lviv on September 27. Shakhtar Stalevi will again play 3 matches over 2 days.
On the first matchday, their opponents were Bartka Ivano-Frankivsk and Vikinhy Ternopil. It’s worth noting that, according to the regulations, matches are played on a reduced field, with each of the 2 halves lasting 20 minutes. During the game, the coaching staff can make rolling substitutions.

Bohdan Bilko’s side opened the matchday programme with a clash against Bartka Ivano-Frankivsk. Throughout the game, the Miners controlled the initiative and posed the greater threat to the opponents’ goal, while Bartka played defensively and created chances mostly from set pieces. In these moments, Molochko repeatedly came into action, keeping the team from conceding. Mykhasiuk and Nedzelskyi were particularly active, creating several potentially scoring opportunities, but their attempts were blocked by the goalkeeper. The outcome could have been decided in stoppage time, when Nedzelskyi struck on goal after a wing run, but the goal was ruled out by the referee. In the end, the match finished goalless.

In the second match of the day, the Orange-and-Blacks faced Vikinhy Ternopil. From the opening minutes, the Pitmen controlled the ball and played fluidly near the opponents’ goal, taking dangerous shots. Finally, in the 11th minute, the Miners took the lead: Romaniuk delivered a precise pass from the right flank to Nedzelskyi, who struck into the goal. The Pitmen continued to dominate and managed to double their advantage before the end of the first half. Nedzelskyi shot from distance from a set piece and the ball deflected off a defender into the net. The second half began with quick goals from the Orange-and-Blacks from set pieces. First, Romaniuk lifted the ball over the wall and curled it straight into the corner, then Herasymchuk’s powerful strike left the goalkeeper with no chance. In the 30th minute, Vikinhy responded with their own chance – Honcharyk scored. Towards the end of the match, Nedzelskyi once again found the net with a precise shot, completing his hat-trick.

The Orange-and-Blacks played a goalless draw against Bartka and defeated Vikinhy on the first matchday of the Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship round 2. Tomorrow, September 28, Bohdan Bilko’s side will play their next match against Nezlamni Kharkiv. The clash at the Bosko Centre stadium kicks off at 10:00.
