An educational seminar for Shakhtar Academy coaches took place in Shchaslyve

On April 17–18, the first educational seminar for Shakhtar Academy coaches was held at the FC Shakhtar Academy base in Shchaslyve, bringing together specialists from the club’s football schools in Ukraine and abroad. Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to exchange experience, learn about modern approaches to the training process and receive answers to current questions regarding the development of young footballers.

The programme, rich in both theoretical and practical activities, focused on the role of youth schools in the club’s development strategy, the methodology and organisation of the training process at the Academy, goalkeeping coaching, as well as the importance of the coach in shaping the environment and the development of children.

Participants also had the opportunity to attend training sessions of Shakhtar U12 and U13 teams and, at the end of the programme, watch a match of the National Future League, where Shakhtar U14 faced Metalist U14.
We will continue to work and hold similar events, improving the level and scale, as well as introducing new formats
Oleksandr Aleksieiev, Deputy Director of the Youth Football Department:

– This is indeed an extremely important event of a somewhat new format, as previously we held separate lectures online, and now we decided to organise an offline meeting, bringing together Shakhtar Academy coaches in Ukraine. We delivered lectures and trainings across four key topics with the aim of improving the level of specialists. The main objective was to share experience in building the training process as a whole, including the goalkeeping area. In addition, we focused on developing the capabilities of academy coaches, their methodology and issues of football psychology. We understand how challenging the tasks are for Shakhtar Academy coaches when they work with young children. We assess the results of the seminar very positively; it is very pleasing that specialists from different parts of the country attended it. We pursued both educational and communication objectives and were able to build strong connections between the coaches. We will continue to work and hold similar events, improving the level and scale, as well as introducing new formats.
