Despite the opponents’ position in the table, I do not expect an easy game. We are familiar with the opposition – we have already faced them in the first half of the championship, and it was tough
Oleksandr Chornenkyi, midfielder:
– I will prepare in the same way as for every match. Despite the opponents’ position in the table, I do not expect an easy game. We are familiar with the opposition – we have already faced them in the first half of the championship, and it was tough. We must play with maximum confidence.
Opponents
Kudrivka’s debut at youth level has been quite challenging: they recorded only one victory before the winter break. During the pre-season, a change was made in the coaching staff – Oleksandr Protchenko replaced Vitalii Kostyshyn as head coach. Results improved in the second part of the season: Kudrivka U19 defeated Epicentr U19 (2-1) and Kryvbas U19 (3-2), but suffered a defeat to Metalist 1925 (1-2) in their last three rounds. At present, the opponents have 15 points from 24 matches and sit in the lower part of the table.
Match background
In the only meeting between Shakhtar U19 and Kudrivka U19, the victory went to the Miners.
Previous meeting
On October 25, 2025, Shakhtar U19 hosted Kudrivka U19 in Shchaslyve. Despite an active start, the Orange-and-Blacks conceded an early goal following a counterattack finished by Hrabilin. The Miners had a chance to respond, but Kanteh failed to hit the target and suffered an injury, after which he was replaced by Lomaha, who struck the woodwork twice. Despite having the advantage in play, the hosts were unable to score before the break. In the second half, Shakhtar quickly turned the game around: Tsukanov equalised, later provided an assist for Zubrii, and was also involved in a goal-scoring move finished by Lomaha. Tiutiunov sealed the final score with a precise finish in the closing stages – 4-1.
