Shakhtar midfielder Artem Bondarenko spoke about the victory over Kudrivka on UPL.TV
– Congratulations on the victory and your goal. What are your emotions after this win?
– Very happy and joyful – that was the feeling in the dressing room as well because we knew that LNZ had drawn, so it was important to extend the lead to eight points. I’m glad we managed to do it.
– They said in the studio that your goal was a signature finish for you. How do you see that moment?
– I think I was very lucky. The goalkeeper made a gift, but as they say, a goal is a goal. It’s very important for me to score in two matches in a row.
– The second half was less comfortable for Shakhtar as Kudrivka played more actively. Did you expect the opponents to come out differently after the break?
– In general, we did not expect an easy game. We understood that if we relaxed even a little, Kudrivka could and know how to play football. We started allowing the opponents more in the second half and the goal we conceded after my mistake gave them a bit of confidence.
– Was the conceded goal due to a loss of concentration?
– Maybe. I do not want to admit it, but we did relax. However, it is very important that we scored a third goal because a two-goal advantage is a more comfortable score for the team.
– You played three league matches during the week, which is probably the first time. What are your emotions about that?
– The main thing is that we are winning. Even with such a schedule and travelling, we manage to win.
– Do these victories affect the team’s mood ahead of the match against Crystal Palace?
– These wins make life easier.
