Shakhtar women’s team filled the extended break in the championship caused by international matches and cup fixtures with training sessions at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve. In the first weeks, the Miners completed a large volume of aerobic work, and closer to the resumption of the championship, they focused on ball exercises.

Roman Zaiev’s side have 32 points after 21 matches and sit in 5th spot in the league table. The Orange-and-Blacks defeated Vorskla (2-1) but lost to Seasters (0-3) and Kolos (1-2) in the previous rounds.

Oksana Henyk and Viktoriia Myronenko will miss the clash with Metalist 1925 due to suspension.

The Kharkiv side controlled the game, created chances, and before half-time, Shainiuk made it 3-0. In the second half, Shakhtar played more actively, created several chances and managed to reduce the deficit through a fine free-kick goal from Chaika. In the end, Metalist 1925 defeated Shakhtar 3-1.
