We made a large number of mistakes

–First of all, FC Shakhtar is a motivating factor for any club in general – both in women’s and men’s football. In addition, we faced a situation where we were missing two central defenders, as Henyk was suspended and Lutsan picked up a minor injury ahead of the match. We played with a somewhat experimental line-up, and the performers on the pitch made a large number of tactical mistakes, which led to goals scored practically from close range or after rebounds. It is clear that Metalist 1925 currently have more quality in their squad, which was reflected in the difference in decision-making speed and in finding free spaces. Unfortunately, we were not able to cover the open space, and as a result this led to constant pressure on our goal. We made a large number of mistakes and this is, of course, an unacceptable result for a team like Shakhtar. In the dressing room, I emphasised that, given this result, we have no other choice but to go into the next game and win.
