Shakhtar U21 continue active preparations ahead of the league resumption
Shakhtar U21 are filling the week-long break in the league with daily training sessions at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve and are actively preparing for their match against Polissia U21.
The main focus of the training process is currently on maintaining match fitness and improving the footballers’ individual skills. The Orange-and-Blacks’ morning session began with an activation warm-up, after which Oleksii Bielik’s side moved on to ball-control work in small groups. The Miners then focused on tactical combinations and finished the session with a small-sided game in a limited area of the pitch.
Artem Derykon, midfielder:
– Preparations for the resumption of the league are going well, and the atmosphere in the team is excellent. The meeting with Polissia U21 will be a difficult one, as we know they have some good players. The wins in the opening rounds have certainly had a positive impact on the team’s overall mood, but the most important thing is not to stop at what has been achieved and to continue in the same spirit.
We remind you that this Sunday, August 30, the Miners will host Polissia U21 at the Arsenal Arena. The match kicks off at 13:00, with the live stream available on Shakhtar’s official YouTube channel.
